About Pirro Perdi Pet
A family business built on genuine love for animals and a commitment to their wellbeing.
How It All Started
In the spring of 2011, Emma Richardson adopted a border collie from a local rescue centre. Pepper was severely underweight, her coat dull, and her energy virtually non-existent. The vet suspected years of poor nutrition had taken their toll.
Finding suitable food proved unexpectedly difficult. High-street shops stocked the same handful of brands. Online retailers offered thousands of options with little guidance. Emma spent weeks researching ingredients, consulting nutritionists, and experimenting with different formulas.
When Pepper finally started thriving, Emma realised other pet owners must face the same frustration. What if there was a shop that did the research for you? A place where every product earned its spot through rigorous evaluation?

Our Philosophy
The principles that guide every decision at Pirro Perdi Pet.
Quality Over Quantity
We deliberately limit our range. Rather than stocking thousands of products, we carry hundreds that we genuinely stand behind. If something doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't make the list.
Transparency Always
We share detailed information about every product's ingredients, manufacturing, and sourcing. No marketing fluff, no hidden details. You deserve to know exactly what you're giving your pet.
Genuine Expertise
Our team includes certified nutritionists and trained animal behaviourists. When you ask a question, you get a real answer from someone who understands pet health.
Honest Recommendations
We'll never push premium products if affordable alternatives work equally well. Our goal is healthy pets, not maximum revenue per customer.
Community Involvement
We believe in giving back to the animals and organisations that need support.
Rescue Partnerships
We supply food and essentials to seven rescue centres across the South West at cost. Last year, we contributed over £18,000 worth of products to animals awaiting adoption.
Education Programmes
Our team visits schools to teach children about responsible pet ownership. We've reached over 3,000 students in the past two years through interactive workshops.
Pet Food Bank
We run a donation point for pet owners facing financial hardship. No questions asked, no judgement given. Every pet deserves proper nutrition regardless of circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Emma founded the company and remains the sole owner. Her husband James handles our IT systems, and their daughter Sophie occasionally helps with social media during university holidays. We have no outside investors and intend to keep it that way.
Our fulfilment centre is located in Bristol. This central location allows us to reach most of England and Wales within one business day, with Scotland typically receiving deliveries in two days.
We operate exclusively online. This keeps our costs lower, which we pass on through competitive pricing. It also allows us to ship nationwide without the limitations of retail space.
Our nutrition team evaluates every potential product against strict criteria: ingredient quality, manufacturing standards, brand ethics, and real-world results. We conduct feeding trials through our network of volunteer pet owners and consult with veterinary professionals before adding anything to our catalogue.
